There are several different products catering for different needs.
The complete program can be installed on a network for use by multiple users. This version has additional facilities that help tutors to teach and monitor student classes.
A single-computer version of the program can be used for personal study and revision. This version is on CD and the CD must be in the drive when it runs. It requires the user to be logged in as an Administrator so it is not suitable for use on secure networks, such as those in schools and colleges. This version is not available for download. It covers all of the program material but does not contain e-books.
Three textbooks covering the same material can be bought individually or as a set.
Three sub-sections of the program can be bought individually. These each contain an electronic version of the corresponding textbook linked to the program so that calling up the book while using the program opens the book on the computer screen at the relevant page. From there you can browse to other topics or return to where you left the program. This version is installed and validated to a single computer and runs thereafter without a CD. Licences are permanent and do not expire. The user does not require Administrator privileges except when the program is first installed.
The programs combined with an e-book can be bought on CD complete with documentation and a licence. This version is installed once to a computer and the CD is not required while the program is being used.
A cheaper option is to download the software free and later pay to have it validated.
If you have a CD of a combined program and e-book whose licence has already been validated, you can pay just to validate the licence on another computer without buying a new CD.
If you intend to install on several computers, it can be cheaper to buy sets of prepaid licences. |
